2024 Referee Discount Policy
In an effort to recruit and retain referees, NDLA has instituted a discount policy for Referees that are current players or parents of current players.
We would like to offer rebates to referees that are players or parents in our association.
- Any U15 players who are certified will receive a $50 rebate at the end of the season
- Any U17 and up (including Junior Female) will receive $100 rebate at the end of the season
- Any adult with lacrosse experience and a player in the association, will receive a $100 rebate
In order to qualify, referees must complete a minimum of 5 games. Shot clock does not count towards the 5 games.
If there is a huge turnout for this initiative. There will be a limit to the number of participants, as there are only so many games in the NDLA and surrounding associations.
We would also like to propose a $20 fee for referee mentors. We’ve learned over the last few seasons that having Mentors at games is essential to the growth and development of young entry level referees. Experienced referees who are identified as referee mentors will be assigned to mentor new referees and paid $20 per game that they mentor at.
